The Challenge

EquusID needed to be adapted and adjusted for distribution in Chile. The app did not comply with regulations regarding identification and operability, which could prevent its entry into the market and lead to penalties, as well as a poor user experience and misaligned transfer processes. There were problems in user/veterinarian registrations, internationalization, health, UX, and equine transfers. Digitalprojex had to map regulations, define data models and flows, establish acceptance criteria, and prepare a project plan with responsible parties and timelines, clarifying priorities and documentation formats for health and transfers.

The Solution

Digitalprojex adapted EquusID to Chile, maintaining the base architecture and using a country-ready configuration layer to ensure international compatibility. The main actions included code assimilation, RUT validation, user and veterinarian registration, association of veterinarians to establishments, equine transfers, internationalization (i18n), health and vaccines, and voice notes, all under a phased plan with clear deliverables (independent modules, audit and traceability) and success criteria oriented to regulatory compliance, approval of authorities, and a localized user experience.

The Result

A fully updated and functional version of EquusID has been implemented, ensuring its stability in the production environment. It features a more fluid user experience through faster and more accurate enrollment; greater traceability and compliance through improvements in validations, registration, and transfers; greater international scalability thanks to a modular architecture and a country-ready layer that facilitates activating Chile and other countries without redesigns; reduced costs and implementation times through standardized processes and QA; and a solid foundation for governance and security with auditing and data protection.
